Wolf Parade performed "This Heart's on Fire" on the Late Late Show last night. Good stuff. See for yourself below if you missed it.

I'm tired as hell since I just watched the Astros/White Sox game finally finish up. Speaking of H-Town, I checked out a listening party for Lil' Flip tonight. Couldn't really listen to the album though since the party was packed. Flip was there along with Bun B. After that I went to see Wolf Parade at North Six.
Tonight's show at North Six was much better than last night's show at Bowery. At least half of the band was sick and they looked rather exhausted, but the show was really good. The crowd also got more into it tonight. It wasn't crazy or anything, but there was a decent number of people dancing. The band again played a bunch of new songs and came out for a three song encore. The sound, the performance, the crowd and the overall energy was much better tonight.

Checked out Wolf Parade tonight at Bowery Ballroom. Actually seeing them tommorrow night too. I had some decent pics, but the security guy at Bowery asked me to delete my footage because I started trying to film a song with my camera. He was nice about it and even said he could ask the Sub Pop tour manager to see if I could film, but I said not to bother. Unfortunately, I deleted most of the pics from the show instead of just deleting the video footage. Oh well. I still have footage of the band from the AAM party at North Six during CMJ and I'll also be at tommorrow's show at North Six.
Anyways, the band said they were drunk. They played a few songs that I had never heard. I think two were new and one was old, but I could be wrong. People kept asking for "Grounds for Divorce" but the band said they were sick of playing it. I was just glad that they played "Fancy Claps". That is the ideal song for a live setting I thinks. Not much else to report except to say the crowd reaction was pretty weak. Not enough movement, but what else is new in NYC. The band also seemed to play better as the show went on, but I also moved up as the show went on.

Got the new Filter Magazine in the mail the other day. I have no idea why, but all my magazines show up way later then they should. In any case they have a little one pager on the band of the moment or last few moments, Wolf Parade. I liked this quote from keyboardist Spencer Krug:
"That would be the one thing I want people to know: if there is hype, we're not trying to generat it. We're really, really self-critical and we've never thought-nor do we think now-that we're so great, or the record we've made is so amazing. I think we've got enought potential to do really neat things, but I don't know if we've done it quite yet. For now we'll just try to walk through this shit storm with as much class and dignity as possible."
"I try to think that it was good timing and good luck, which is half of any success story. and hopefully the other half is something that is in some way compelling."
