Checked out Wolf Parade tonight at Bowery Ballroom. Actually seeing them tommorrow night too. I had some decent pics, but the security guy at Bowery asked me to delete my footage because I started trying to film a song with my camera. He was nice about it and even said he could ask the Sub Pop tour manager to see if I could film, but I said not to bother. Unfortunately, I deleted most of the pics from the show instead of just deleting the video footage. Oh well. I still have footage of the band from the AAM party at North Six during CMJ and I'll also be at tommorrow's show at North Six.
Anyways, the band said they were drunk. They played a few songs that I had never heard. I think two were new and one was old, but I could be wrong. People kept asking for "Grounds for Divorce" but the band said they were sick of playing it. I was just glad that they played "Fancy Claps". That is the ideal song for a live setting I thinks. Not much else to report except to say the crowd reaction was pretty weak. Not enough movement, but what else is new in NYC. The band also seemed to play better as the show went on, but I also moved up as the show went on.

The crowd was very weak. I thought after CMJ (which had a good response), the crowd would start to get more crazy. Instead, almost everyone acted like they were at a listening party.
Drink people! That's what it's for!

they didn't play songs that the crowd was calling for, but i think the crowd reaction was weak from the start. i don't think it would've matter what they played. the show i saw at north six during cmj had a better response and the band wasn't as big and the room had way more industry people.

Maybe the crowd was weak because it was 35 degrees out and pouring rain. Not exactly energizing weather. I wasn't in the best mood before I got the show, but I still had a good time.

I thought it was okay and maybe the weather played a part, but the show at North Six was much better.
