2. NY Dolls Documentary Screening

8 PM @ Magno, 729 Seventh Ave. (at 49th), 2nd floor
God hooked me up it seems because the NY Dolls screening was literally three buildings down from the Twista listening session. I showed up to this very nice but tiny theater that probably sat about 40 people at 8:15P so I think I missed the first 15 minutes of the screening. As a disclaimer, I must say that my knowledge of the NY Dolls going in was minimal, but I knew it was a band I should be more familiar with. Even with my lack of familiarity with the band I found the movie very well done and engaging. The movie focuses on Arthur "Killer" Kane the Dolls bassist who ends up becoming a mormon after jumping out a window. I don't think anyone could come away from the movie not liking him. At the end of the movie I saw some folks crying. More info on the movie can be found here. Next up: A.R.E. Weapons at the Tribeca Grand...
