Common: Be
So, I finally got my hands on the Common album with full artwork and liner notes. Although Prefix's Matt Gasteier will have a review up next week and despite Common being mentioned in about 4 blog posts in the past week, I can't help but post on this album. (*Disclaimer: Matt might hate the album for all I know. I haven't talked with him about the album.)
Be received a 4.5/5.0 at Vibe and the Source and XXL gave it the XXL. To all the praise I say COMFS (Co-Muthafuckin Sign). I've listened to the album 4x in a row as in back to back to back to back. I can only compare it to drinking the purest water to refresh yourself even if you didn't know you needed it. Did that make any sense?
Common Interview from Electric Circus era (Look for an interview with Common by Jalylah Burrell at Prefix next week too)
